Piano Nobile is returning this summer to Masterpiece, London's leading art and antiques fair. Masterpiece will be hosted as an online digital fair this year. Highlights from our online display will include work by  Ben and Winifred Nicholson, William Turnbull, Leon Kossoff, Frank Auerbach, William Crozier, David Bomberg, Lucian Freud and Barbara Hepworth.

Also on display will be works from Drawn to Paper: Degas to Rego, an exhibition of works on paper by many canonical artists of modernism including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Fernand Léger, Salvador Dalí, Walter Sickert, Cy Twombly and Paula Rego. Many of the works in the display have not been seen in public for fifty years.

    Degas to Rego

Running in parallel to Masterpiece is Drawn to Paper: Degas to Rego, an exhibition of works on paper by many canonical artists of modernism including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Fernand Léger and Salvador Dalí. Many of the works in the display have not been seen in public for fourty years. To access the Viewing Room, click here.

The works in this exhibition were made over a century, from the 1870s to the 1990s, and they demonstrate the creative breakthroughs which British, American and European artists have made when confronted with a blank sheet of paper. Starting with Edgar Degas in late-nineteenth-century Paris, the exhibition continues with paragons of continental modernism, Picasso, Miró and Léger, and concludes with works made by Rego and Freud and Cy Twombly in the 1980s and ‘90s.
